How could drinking green tea contribute to achieving your weight loss goals?
Green tea originates from China, and is still widely drunk all over East Asia. The leaves are from the Camellia sinensis type, and can only be of this type. It has undergone limited oxidation during the processing. In history it has been given many positive attributes, among other frequent usage would have a positive effect on the chance of heart diseases, cancer and weight loss.
How does it help me losing weight? Well, first of all several studies have shown that green tea stimulates metabolism with a couple of percent. This means basically if you drink it on a regular basis, you will burn more calories. Secondly, it attributes to regulating your glucose level. This means after having a meal it prevents sugar levels go up too fast. More general it helps preventing extreme up and downs in your glucose level.
Also, it may help reduce your appetite because basically you are filled up on tea. Expert opinions vary, but you should take at in between 3 and 5 cups a day in order to see a permanent weight loss over time. This also assumes you drink less coffee per day (it is healthier!). Five cups per day might seem a lot, but green tea pills or extracts will do the job as well.
But it won't solve all your weight loss problems, though it will contribute and many people actually enjoy drinking it. It does contain caffeine, so be cautious if you don't manage caffeine that well!
It is also available in extracts and pills, which should give the same benefits except for giving you the feeling of being filled up. Though nothing beats a delicious cup of hot fresh tea, especially if it helps you reducing weight!
