Researchers at Dundee University found that chemicals in black tea, known as theaflavins and thearubigins, mimic insulin function in the body. This tells the body to burn sugar as energy. Since our "Standard American Diets: (SAD) are so full of simple sugars, our blood sugars are constantly elevated, causing increased insulin production and consequently insulin resistance. According to the researchers ordinary tea might help combat type 2 diabetes.

If you aren't a fan of Green Tea, drink a nice strong cup of an English Breakfast Tea, or other Black Tea.

Remember the best way to fight the onset of Type 2 Diabetes is to change your eating habits away from the SAD.
